How to Perform the Ammonia Test (NH3/NH4):
- Fill the test tube with aquarium water.
- Dip the test strip into the water repeatedly for 30 seconds at 1-second intervals, then remove it.
- Immediately compare the colors with the reference chart. Shake off excess water and assess the color intensity using the packaging scale.
This reliable method helps even beginners achieve optimal water quality in their aquariums.
How to Perform the Nitrite, pH, and Total Hardness Test:
- Fill the test tube with aquarium water and dip the test strip for 2 seconds before removing it.
- Do not shake off excess water; immediately compare the results with the color chart.
- Wait 15 seconds to read pH and GH results; wait 60 seconds for nitrite (NO2) readings.
To preserve unused strips, ensure the package is sealed properly after each use.
