The Reef Factory KH Smart Test kit is a fast and easy way to measure the concentration of carbonate hardness in marine aquariums. Developed by Reef Factory LAB, this drop test kit is designed for home use and can perform up to 100 tests ranging from 3 to 15 dKH. The product features laboratory-confirmed quality, interactive instructions, and a new liquid formulation of all reagents. Additionally, it is compatible with the Smart Reef system, which integrates the drop test with an application and dosing panel for easy interpretation of results and recommendations for maintaining optimal parameters.
To take measurements with the KH Smart test kit, simply take 5 ml of aquarium water with a syringe and pour it into the vial. Add 2 drops of KH Reagent 1, shake the vial, and add 1 ml of KH Reagent 2 drop by drop while stirring the vial after each drop until the green solution turns gray-brown and then amaranth. Read the remaining liquid in the syringe and compare it with the results table or enter it in the Smart Reef user panel for supplementation recommendations.
