More info

New corals often bring unwanted organisms, parasites or impurities into the aquarium that can endanger existing corals already installed.

Tropic Marin® Coral Clean reliably eliminates the most frequent epiphytes, parasites and impurities in an easy-to-use bath. The detaching animals allow you to immediately check whether the operation was successful, revealing whether additional baths will be necessary.

Tropic Marin® Coral Clean is phosphate free and milder than other cleansing baths such as a Lugol solution or fresh water.

Benefits:

  • Removes the most frequent epiphytes, parasites and impurities from corals
  • Unlike the often used PVP iodine, it takes care of lesions without using phosphates
  • Gentle treatment of corals
  • Without overloading the aquarium with drugs or biocides, as it is used in the form of a bath
  • Immediate control of the success of the operation, epiphytes and parasites remain in the bath

Ingredients:

purified water, PVP iodine, sodium hydroxide

Application and Dosage:

A glass or plastic container is filled with marine water from the aquarium, where the corals are placed during treatment. For every 100 ml of water, place 1 ml of Tropic Marin® Coral Clean in the prepared container and mix well with the water. Young coral should be completely immersed in this brief bath, remaining there for ten to fifteen minutes. Before placing the corals back in the aquarium, they should be gently shaken inside the bath in order to release deposits and unwanted organisms that are still trapped.

Porcelain crabs must be carefully removed before carrying out the treatment and then placed back on the corals. The quality of the aquarium water should be checked regularly in order to preserve the health of the corals.

Note: In some cases, it may take up to two days for corals to fully reopen after bathing.
