The AF Bio Sand is a high-quality natural white sand sourced from carefully selected deposits and completely free from contaminants. Its calcium carbonate-rich composition helps stabilize water chemistry, creating a more balanced and healthy environment for marine aquariums.
Thanks to its advanced biological technology, AF Bio Sand significantly accelerates the aquarium maturation process, allowing for faster introduction of fish and invertebrates into newly set-up systems. It also includes laboratory-cultured nitrifying bacteria strains and a specific nutrient that promotes their development, speeding up the nitrogen cycle and the removal of harmful compounds.
Its application is simple and allows for quick preparation for immediate use in the aquarium. It can also be used in established systems as a biological substrate supplement.
The AF Bio Sand is available in two different grain sizes:
- 0.5 – 1.5 mm (finer grain, ideal for better coverage and a more natural look) – 7.5 kg bag
- 1 – 2 mm (coarser grain, with better water circulation and reduced substrate compaction) – 10 kg bag
