JBL ProScape Plant Start 2x8g is a substrate activator for planted aquariums, containing live bacterial cultures in mineral granules. It is designed to speed up root development in aquatic plants and improve nutrient availability in the substrate from day one.
When used during aquarium setup, it promotes rapid biological colonization of the substrate, supporting healthy plant growth and helping reduce unwanted algae such as cyanobacteria. It also enhances the breakdown of organic waste, turning the substrate into an additional biological filtration system.
Suitable for aquariums from 20 to 100 liters, it includes 2 x 8 g sachets for easy application in the bottom substrate layer.
