More info
Cryptocoryne indonesii is an elegant and relatively rare aquatic plant originating from Indonesia. With its narrow, lanceolate leaves and deep green coloration, it brings a natural and refined appearance to the aquascape. When grown under stronger lighting, the leaves may develop subtle brownish or reddish tones, adding extra visual interest.
This species is hardy and easy to keep, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced aquarists. Like many Cryptocorynes, it adapts well to a wide range of water parameters and grows steadily without requiring CO₂ injection, although additional CO₂ can enhance its development. It thrives in nutrient-rich substrates and appreciates consistent fertilization, especially iron. Once established, it forms attractive bushy clumps ideal for the midground of the aquarium.

Care tips:
- Avoid sudden parameter changes to prevent “crypt melt”.
- Use a nutrient-rich substrate to support strong root development.
- Provide stable lighting and fertilise regularly for best coloration.
- Allow time for the plant to settle; once rooted, growth becomes steady.
