Aquael CarboMAX Plus is a filter medium made of excellent activated carbon. The absorption properties ensure that heavy metal and chlorine are neutralised in the aquarium. The granules are filled into the filter, where water and the dissolved substances are absorbed. In this way, drug residues, heavy metals, chlorine and other toxic chemicals are filtered out of the aquarium water.
The granules are perfectly suitable for different filter types such as canister filter and internal filter with chambers for loose material.
Each package CarboMAX plus contains two bags of loose granules at 0,5 l. The medium is ready for use immediately and can be used without rinsing. After approximately four weeks, the medium should be replaced since the active carbon does not absorb any chemicals further.
It is possible to use CarboMAX Plus in different Aquael filters such as Versamax, Turbo filter and ASAP Filter .
Furthermore, the activated carbon is offered as a cartridge as well which is suitable for the Multikani 800 filter. Here, it should be noted that the cartridge is placed behind the mechanical as well as the biological filter elements.
