Oase CrystalSkim 350
Oase CrystalSkim is a compact skimmer to vacuum the water surface. All particles that float on the water will sooner or later end up in the skimmer.
Oase has carefully thought through this design. For example, it is very small in size to stand out as little as possible in the aquarium. If the suction power is too strong, it can be controlled from above to set less power. The float is sturdy and can withstand a water level difference of about 3cm. There is a basket in the opening (removable) that prevents particles larger than 2 mm from entering the pump. Safe for fish and shrimp. Additional protection is provided by the sponge. The acrylic part is also removable. This saves on periodic cleaning and increases the suction of surface water, but this makes it easier for fish and shrimp to be sucked in.
Cleaning is also very easy. The CrystalSkim is placed in an acrylic holder. With 2 suction cups, it can be firmly attached to the glass. When cleaning, the skimmer can be removed from the holder. No hassle with removing suction cups, but simply remove, rinse and replace.
The sucked in water comes out at the bottom again. This is blown out evenly, preventing a strong current (as with other skimmers). A practical solution for a small aquarium.
Comes with tweezers for removing the sponge.
