Tropic Marin® Original Balling Components are the 3 components used in the Balling method and allow an independent dosage of calcium and carbonates adapted to each aquarium.
The 3 part method adds calcium chloride dihydrate (part A) and sodium carbonate/bicarbonate (part B), while the addition of sodium chloride free sea salt (part C) maintains the crucial ionic balance in the aquarium water. This balanced dosage of calcium creates the best conditions for the good growth of corals and coralline algae and prevents the inevitable descent of important elements seen in two-part methods.
Benefits:
- They allow an independent dosage of calcium and alkalinity to compensate for eventual imbalances in the aquarium.
- To use the Balling method all three components are required: calcium chloride dihydrate (part A), sodium carbonate/bicarbonate (part B) and sodium chloride-free sea salt (part C).
- All components are available separately in 1 kg packs or as a set (3 x 1 kg).
- Solutions can be used soon after dissolution and can be stored for a long time.
- It can be used within the framework of the Tropic Marin® Bio-Actif System.
- Suitable for an aquarium with soft corals, LPS and SPS.
Ingredients:
The Tropic Marin® Original Balling Components containing:
Part A: Calcium Chloride Dihydrate (20,000 mg/l Ca)
Part B: Sodium carbonate/bicarbonate (2 800 °dH/l)
Part C: Sodium Chloride Free Sea Salt (~3350 mg/l Mg; ~980 mg/l K)
Application and Dosage:
Dissolve the amount of salts indicated in the table in 5 l of reverse osmosis water and apply equal amounts daily or individual amounts of each solution to reach the recommended levels in the aquarium water (DO NOT MIX).
The addition of 50 ml of each component per 100 liters of aquarium water increases the calcium content by 10 mg/l and the alkalinity by 1.4 °dH.
Maximum dose: 150 ml of each solution per 100 l of aquarium water per day.
