Long before the release of the film “Finding Nemo”, “clownfish” or “anemonefish” (as they are known in English) were already undeniably popular among underwater photographers and documentary filmmakers, who are enchanted by the gracefulness of their way of swimming. and the bright colors of its body, which vary from orange, red, black, yellow and pink.
Most of these fish have stripes or contoured spots, whose shape resembles the painted face of a clown, and which gave rise to their name. With the release of the Disney/Pixar film, clown fish became even more popular with the general public. Also, from a commercial point of view, they are considered the most important marine ornamental fish, both in the extractive and breeding aspects, as they exceed the market demand for all marine ornamental fish in the world.
