The 3-Spot Domino Damselfish, also known as the Three Spot Damselfish, Threespot Dascyllus or Domino Damselfish, is so named because of the three white spots on its black body. It matures into an aggressive adult whose bright spots fade with age and will enter into symbiosis with Stichodactyla (Carpet Anemone) species if one is available.
A 150 Liter or larger aquarium is suitable in size. Because it can tolerate substandard water parameters, it is a popular fish among beginner hobbyists. This species is happiest in pairs or shoals. A shoal should consist of 1 male to 5 or more females. They can be aggressive towards each other, so in a small shoal there may be aggression towards one specimen, but this can fade over time. The 3-Spot Domino Damselfish becomes more active and aggressive with age. So it's a great fish to grow with larger tank mates.
The 3-Spot Domino Damselfish feeds on a variety of meaty foods, herbivorous preparations and flake foods.
