Description
The Three-Spot Wrasse, also known as Halichoeres trispilus, is a species of wrasse found in the waters of Indonesia and the Maldives. It has a predominantly brown body with darker lines outlining its body. The shoulder area is surrounded by a bright blue coloration, as well as the outline of the anal fin. Over time, the tail will develop a forked appearance.
A minimum aquarium size of 300 liters is required to provide ample swimming space and territories within live rock. It is aggressive towards other tangs and surgeonfish but peaceful towards other fish.
While Three-Spot Wrasse will eat meaty foods along with other fish in the aquarium, it is important to provide them with plenty of algae and marine plant matter. This will strengthen their immune system, reduce aggression, and improve overall health. Offer dried seaweed attached to a rock or use a vegetable clip and feed at least 3 times a week.
