More info
Echinodorus 'Altlandsberg' is a medium-sized ornamental aquatic plant, perfect as a focal point in the midground or background of aquariums. Its submerged leaves exhibit attractive pink to reddish tones, while its emersed leaves feature a striking dark red central vein. This cultivar was developed by Tomas Kaliebe at the Atlantis greenhouse in Altlandsberg, Germany.
With moderate growth, this plant is easy to care for and adapts well to a wide range of water parameters. Although it can grow without CO₂ injection, the addition of carbon dioxide and strong lighting significantly enhances its coloration and vitality.
For optimal development, a nutrient-rich substrate is recommended. Echinodorus 'Altlandsberg' propagates via runners and can also be grown emersed, making it suitable for paludariums and open-top setups.
