SERA Ammonia Test (NH4/NH3) – Test for Ammonia and Ammonium Concentration

The ammonia and ammonium in aquarium water primarily originate from fish excrement. Depending on the pH value, ammonium transforms into ammonia and vice versa. While ammonium is mostly harmless, ammonia is toxic to fish.

With the SERA NH4/NH3 Test, the concentration of both is determined (using the pH value, the actual ammonia level can be read from the accompanying chart).

In case of danger, SERA Toxivec (for freshwater) or SERA Pond Toxivec (for ponds) are highly effective. SERA Bio Nitrivec (freshwater), SERA Marin Bio Reefclear (saltwater), or SERA Pond Bio Nitrivec (ponds) help prevent the accumulation of these substances over the long term.

This test is sufficient for approximately 60 readings.
