Features
The large seed pod comes from the Pterygota alata tree native to forests in various countries in Southeast Asia, such as India, Myanmar, and northern Malaysia. Buddha fruit pods are round and split on one side. They produce many winged seeds that are dispersed by the wind. The pod is untreated and can be placed in any terrarium. Not only does it enhance the terrarium, it also offers protection for the animals. The Buddha Nut is also ideal as a water reservoir, as water accumulates in the shell after each spraying. These pods are a long-lasting botanical; after extensive testing, we have found that they show minimal decomposition even after months of submersion.
