More info
Main Features:
- NEO Soil NO CO2 RICH by AquaRIO is a revolutionary nutrient-rich substrate developed to optimize the growth of aquatic plants without the need for additional CO₂ injection. Made from volcanic materials, this substrate not only provides nutrients but also fully activates the aquarium bottom, promoting healthy and balanced plant development. It allows a wider variety of plants to be grown in aquariums without pressurized CO₂ systems, previously limited in the species that could be maintained.
COMPARISON WITH NEO SOIL NO CO2 (STANDARD VERSION)
- Provides twice the CO₂ release effect and twice the nutrients compared to the standard NO CO2 version.
- Offers a higher growth rate, better coloration, and longer-lasting nutrient supply for plants.
- Recommended for experienced aquarists and for those seeking top performance in planted tanks without wanting or being able to use a pressurized CO₂ system.
- The standard version remains ideal for beginners, low-demand aquariums, or those wanting to progress with planted setups without investing in CO₂ equipment.
Setup and Maintenance Routine with NEO Soil NO CO2:
How does NEO Soil NO CO2 work?
This product is very rich in all the necessary ingredients for bacterial reproduction.
Bacteria grow quickly and produce the CO₂ needed by aquatic plants, which dissolves in the water due to water pressure.
In fact, CO₂ bubbles can be seen rising from the substrate.
With maximum substrate activation, it stimulates beneficial bacteria, suppresses harmful bacteria, and doesn't compact, making root development very easy.

COMPARISON BETWEEN DIFFERENT SUBSTRATE LINES
How to use:
1) Spread the substrate evenly in the aquarium. Do not rinse it beforehand.
2) To improve perspective and aesthetics, it is recommended to use a thinner layer at the front and a thicker layer at the back.
3) Fill the aquarium slowly, avoiding direct water flow onto the substrate.
Warnings:
1) This product alone does not guarantee planting success. Other elements (lighting, fertilization, water change routine, filtration, etc.) must align with the type of plants you want to keep.
2) For initial nutrient control, follow this water change schedule:
- First 15 days: Change 50% of the water every two days.
- Following 15 days: Change 50% of the water every three days.
- After the first month: Start fertilizing with NEO Fluid NO CO2 (every three days) and change 50% of the water weekly.
Important Notices:
※ One month after installation, begin fertilizing with NEO Fluid NO CO2.
※ Adequate filtration, high-quality lighting, and regular water changes are necessary for healthy plant growth.
※ A strong smell, sludge formation, or cloudy water may occur initially — this is normal and will disappear over time.
※ Bubbles may form in the substrate due to activation.
※ Use only in aquariums and keep out of reach of pets and children.
※ Do not mix with or cover with other substrates. Use as a standalone substrate.
