Anatomy of the Gen 6 Spectrum
- 395 nm: Unlocks additional fluorescence in fish and corals.
- 400-450 nm: Rebalancing the cluster with more blue and deep blue increases fluorescence, color reproduction, and provides a new level of tuning in the blue spectrum between crisp and actinic.
- 460-580 nm: The reduction in mid-range spectral output maintains color expression in pigmentation while allowing more power to be utilized in a more photosynthetically useful and aesthetically valuable output.
- 665 nm: The appropriate use of long wavelength diodes provides useful light output for coral photosynthesis as well as visual color balance.
